More about Mark

Mark Sayers is a highly acclaimed speaker and author who specialises in interpreting popular culture from a Christian viewpoint and has been in full time ministry for 15 years.  He is the Director of Über, a ministry that focuses on issues of youth and young adult discipleship.  He is also the leader of Red East in Melbourne, an innovative Christian community specifically reaching the young adult demographic.

Mark is also the author of The Trouble with Paris: Following Jesus in a World of Plastic Promises and is currently working on a new book called I Heart Me which is scheduled to be released in February 2010.

Mark has been involved in a variety of ministry appointments including:

•    ministry with the poor
•    denomination roles
•    writing for Christian popular culture magazines
•    lecturing
•    research and development positions
•    church planting
•    pastoral roles

Mark studied Advertising at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and also Theology and Intercultural Studies at the Bible College of Victoria (BCV) and Tabor College Victoria.

Mark lives in Melbourne with his wife Trudi and their daughter Grace.
